The 16-year-old Wie finished off Pak, the LPGA Championship winner, with a two-putt par on the par-3 17th.
"It was a good match," Pak said. "She had a great advantage on this golf course with her length because it was still wet. It was really soft in the fairways."
Pak won the par-4 opening hole with a par, and Wie countered with a birdie on the 533-yard, par-5 second. Wie took the lead with a par on the par-4 fourth, Pak tied it with a birdie on the par-4 sixth, and Wie regained the lead with a birdie on the short par-4 eighth. Pak said Wie didn't talk to her during the round.
"She's not much of a talker," Pak said.
Sorenstam holed a 75-yard wedge shot for an eagle on the par-5 ninth to take a 5-up lead over Lang, lost the 11th, won the par-3 12th with a birdie and ended the match with a birdie on the par-4 13th.
"I'm very happy with the way I played," Sorenstam said. "I hit a lot of good shots. I made some good putts. I just played solid. I think that's more important than anything."
The Swedish star began the week with a four-shot playoff victory over Hurst on Monday in the Women's Open, then advanced to the third round with 3-and-2 victories over Virada Nirapathpongporn and Heather Young.
Wie, set to play in the PGA Tour's John Deere Classic next week in Illinois, is making her 30th LPGA Tour start and bidding to win her first pro title.
Since failing to qualify for the U.S. Open a month ago at Canoe Brook, she finished two strokes out of playoffs in the LPGA Championship and Women's Open. In the first major of the year, she was a shot out of a playoff in the Kraft Nabisco.
