Arrayfor spygate? when? did i miss something?
On Feb 13, Goodell appeared on Capitol Hill, and Spector said he would consider hearings, and would look at the anti-trust exemption. You think that's not spending government money?

Do you have a link? I'm being serious here, I don't remember hearing this and would like to read an article about what happened.

ArrayThe meeting will take place at 3 p.m. ET in Specter's office in Washington, according to ESPN.com's Mike Fish.
ArrayGoodell is expected to brief Specter on those details in today's meeting.
ArraySpecter, R-Pa., told ESPN.com that Senate Judiciary Committee chairman Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., offered support Thursday...
Meeting, meeting, talking to a fellow congressman... All those cost is time, no where did I see a congressional hearing.

Spector is considering it. It's been all over ESPN

That isn't what we were asking. Yes it could cost $$$ in the future. How much has it cost already? From what i'm seeing the answer is $0, or nothing significant if there is a dollar amount. As long as there is no hearing (currently has been none and none is scheduled) I'm not seeing any reason for Spector to not keep pressing the issue. (my original statement)

SpyGate Saga - BuckeyeCub - 03-11-2008

Carol Slezak is an idiot

KTG and CCP will enjoy this

SpyGate Saga - CCP - 03-11-2008

Arrayit's tough to question his logic in this matter. Or his determination not to let the matter drop. If not for Specter, Spygate likely would be over. And that would be a shame because fans deserve to know the whole story
What I have been saying all along...

ArrayShouldn't Tom Brady's so-so performance in this year's Super Bowl, a presumably spy-free zone, make everyone at least consider the possibility the Patriots had gained a competitive advantage through Belichick's stealth in the past?
B)

ArrayObviously Goodell recognizes that the integrity of his league is at stake. So why has he so studiously avoided pursuing a thorough investigation of Spygate? Contrast this with his aggressive approach to cleaning up the league's off-the-field image, and Goodell's behavior with regard to Spygate becomes even more puzzling. It's high time we hear what Walsh has to say.
:yeahthat:

SpyGate Saga - CCP - 03-15-2008

there has to be more to the spygate story

A few days old, but it is still a good article

Specter could one day be looked at as a hero...

SpyGate Saga - BuckeyeCub - 03-15-2008

Spector will never be looked at as a hero after this. He will be looked at as a douchebag who showed that he was looking to fulfill a personal agenda to get re-elected
