Gotta buy a new TV for the Super Bowl- what's a good one?!?!
#1
I'm having a Super Bowl party and need to get a new TV! My 32" just isn't gonna cut it. I saw the 42" Vizio at Costco and it was only $1,049. Seemed like a good deal.

Does anyone know anything about Vizios? I checked out their website and saw one of my fave players, LT, is featured (http://www.vizio.com/lt) so that definitely intrigued me further. They have these short documentary webisodes about his life and career... pretty interesting.

So any thoughts? I can't afford Sony or Samsung!

I have a 37" Vizio...it's ok. It's for the kids to play games on really. I have a Mitsuibishi 52" DLP that rocks though. If you can't afford a good plasma get a great DLP. They are cheaper and actually are better quality. Downside is buying bulbs.

Thanks for the input. Yeah I actually haven't heard much about DLPs - seems to be a smaller market. But everyone who has one seems to like them. I'll definitely look into it!

I actually became intrigued by Vizio because of their commercials with LaDainian Tomlinson, one of my fave players. That's kinda funny, kinda sad though haha. Guess I'm a sucker for advertising! They actually have some cool videos of him on their site, like mini-biographical type videos. Pretty interesting if you like LT: http://www.vizio.com/lt

How often do you have to replace the bulb in your TV?
